I hold a bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and I bring a breadth of experience in volunteering. Inspired by figures like Aaron Swartz and the principles of Creative Commons, I am passionate about promoting free information and empowering individuals to achieve their goals
While people argue about whether the Earth is flat, we continue to live in a country where inequality is embedded in the system—50 states with 50 different legislations, despite a Constitution that claims we are all created equal. When individuals are used as political pawns to serve someone else’s agenda, it raises serious questions about the role of technology. So, what are we really using AI for? Nothing meaningful, because billionaires still hold all the power. We have the capability to combat trafficking by expanding the use of canines and facial recognition, yet politicians prioritize petty disputes over real solutions, all to maintain control and push their own agendas
"We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power”.
-William E. Gladstone
Is AI evil? There are thousands of people out there spreading ideas of a negative or positive future. As we traverse the intricate tapestry of our lives, we inevitably encounter individuals who are unkind, people that challenge our understanding and patience. These encounters test our resilience and wisdom, compelling us to harness these experiences as tools that contribute to our personal growth and success. This metaphorical toolbox that we carry is laden with knowledge and insights that we employ as we navigate the playground of life. In the playground of life there are countless individuals – John F. Kennedy, Martin Heidegger, Dr. Seuss, Buddha – other visionaries and dreamers whom you might call crazy. You might say what they are going to do will fail, and we are doomed to fall into our primordial instincts. Succumbing to our primal instincts, as Darwin suggested, merely to survive.
My thesis is our lifestyles is based upon an egosystem, opposed to ecosystem. Ego is your interest in spite of what Freud, Jung, Lacan or Piaget has to say because I never read any of those to understand I have an ego. Ego is the amount of time devoted to a certain problem, family and environment. Everyone has one. Social Darwinism asserts that humans are subject to the same laws of natural selection if subjected to the same environmental conditions. However, I believe that when Darwin went to Gallapagos, he didn't acknowledge the ego or racism in his observations. Disparity is caused by human frailty, and social discrepancy. It is what we know historically as our ego that caused this. I part from the premises that we all possess an ego. As egocentric individuals we must learn how to fulfill our interests and own requirements. The difference between interest and requirement is subtle. I call it commitment
